Benny arrived in August 2004 at 8 weeks of age. He was bought as a pet and still is first and foremost a pet. He started his show career at 12 months of age and despite our lack of experience in the show ring he had a fantastic show career. A summary of his show successes are shown below along with his critique highlights. He qualified for Crufts in his first show season and gained many first places at open show level. He also enjoys agility and long walks. More recently he completed a 5 mile 'Beagle Walk', raising funds for Beagle Welfare - a registered charity dedicated to helping beagles in need. Benny was my first dog and has taught me so much over the years - he is a 'one off!' Benny has tested clear of MLS.

Clithero 2006 White’s Benny Baggins of Merrilyn. Upstanding 19 month old male full of character. I loved him, and he pushed hard for Best of Breed. He just needs to settle, but not squashed. Gleaming coat and lovely body condition. Moved true both coming and going. Real masculine head, good earset and dark eye with a soft expression. Well constructed short body and well set stern, carried
well.

19mth tri D Good head nice dark eye strong neck of nice length into good lay of shoulder. Good bone and feet correct depth of chest and plenty of fill in front and moved well.. Very nice young dog.
